This is where I will store pictures and videos of our family activities and the things we do with our friends and times when it is just Bill and JoAnne. We want to start out by saying happy new year to all of you. We hope this year is better than your last. I know we are very grateful for our families, friends and our great health that allows us to play softball, be in musical productions, ride bikes, hike, and play with our grand-kids. Times with Friends and Family
First set of pictures is at SKYE where are friends were playing (Marmalaid Skies) - a group of us went to cheer them on...it is easy to do because they are so good.
Picture of us playing games at our house one night with a few friends. The next set of series is Memorial Day celebration and celebrating the birth of Auroa who is Chuck and Jayne's first grand-child. She is so precious and her middle name is Rose - it had to be because that is what Chuck grows and cherishes. The last picture is one of the roses he gave me. Also pictured are the ole school buddies, Sky, Nolan and Adam - it was so great to see them there and their kids too. The families are growing.

We met up with Nolan, Derek and Tyler - it was a lot of fun. Tyler enjoyed it immensely.
Our Hawaii Trip
We met up with our friends Tess and Rich who were so kind to share their timeshare place with us in Kauai.
It was a very special trip and celebrating many things and one of them being our 13th anniversary. We did a lot of R & R! It was great!
We found a lot of great places to eat but had our favorites that we kept going back to. We stayed at the Point of Poi.
The picture to the left is our anniversary night. Poor Rich and Tess they had to sit through watching our wedding video - it is tradition for us to do that, they were good sports about it - thank you.
Below are some other pictures of our trip. There were so many pictures to choose from; oh, what a surprise. There were a ton of Roosters, pretty birds and plants and of course the sunsets and ocean. Towards the end there is a picture with Tess, Rich and Bill that are Tess and Rich's neighbor - they spent their time in Princeville and we met up with them at St. Regis Resort. We had a great time, thanks for inviting us Tess and Rich. Aloha!

Morgan's Birthday Weekend
Morgie's birthday weekend started Friday May 6th at her mom's school carnival. She had a great time at the carnival. Before it got started we played in her mom's classroom. We played on the black-board and built a huge ride for a marble - it looked like the game mouse trap. She rode on Mosey, the pony, three times. She played a few games. She had fun and enjoyed the pony rides the most.
Next day was celebrating her birthday. We started out with a great breakfast that her mommy made. Pancakes and she made gluten free pancakes too and those were tastier than the regular ones, yum yum. She had her friends over to play out back and did all water type of things. The water slide was the biggest hit for all! Morgan really liked her party and was so happy to see everyone and that everyone had a great time. Lunch was great - choice of a hot dog or hamburger and great sides to go with it. Morgan then opened her presents - she got lots of clothes, jewerly, horse stable, horses, toys, a doctor kit with a smock and a doll that came with a walker and braces for the doll. Morgan named her Morgan. The doctor kit and doll were from Grandma and Grandpa Spies- what great gifts and the doctor outfit and kit was a big hit with miss Morgie. We gave her a purse and I created a 'Fancy Morgie' book from her party last year. Morgan was over whelmed by all her gifts and played with all of them. At the end of the day; she rested with her Nannie and we played with three balloons for over 30 minutes. She laughed and giggled and had a great time...she cracked me up - I probably cracked her up, hee hee. She is so adorable and has grown up so much. We can't believe she is four! Wow! It was a great weekend.

Caity District Speech Competition
Caity represented her school for the 5th and 6th graders for the speech competition. Caity did awesome - there were great speeches by all the students. Her friend Delaney took 5th place and Caity got 4th place which was outstanding! We are very proud of you Caity. You are truly amazing and have such a great gift, congratulations!
Bill broke his collar bone
After the softball season and his team taking first place, there was a friendly game between the Trilogy A and C team. Since the A team only won 2 games the whole season there were players on the C team that challenged the A team to a game. Well the C team, let's say they got one run in and the A team had lots. After that game was over there was 15 minutes left and of course they all wanted to get the 2 hours of play time in and that is when it happened. The guy running to 2nd base realized he should be back at first so he was running backwards and Bill chasing him to tag him out, well the guy going backwards fell and Bill fell as well trying to miss the guy and landed on his shoulder. He has to wear a sling for a month and then get new X-rays. He is not to move his right arm, yes his right side, yikes. Here are few pictures from after a week. The last picture was just a day later. Remember the ball that hit him right below his chest - well you will see the colors are very similar.
Update on Bill's collar bone - it is July 1 and it is almost healed - it is healing nicely they say. Another month and it should be good. However, he is dealing with Shoulder Issues - will be getting an MRI - doc thinks things will be ok and no surgery needed. Slow process i guess.
